What this site collects
RoofRainYield has no accounts, sign-up forms or newsletter, and it does not ask for personal information to show you a city. The city search and roof calculator run in your browser. The hosting provider, Firebase Hosting (Google), automatically records standard request logs, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, which are used for security and to keep the site running.
Cookies and advertising
RoofRainYield does not currently set advertising cookies or run analytics. If advertising is added, this section will name the vendors and cookies involved before they go live.
Data sources are not data about you
Rainfall figures come from NOAA, city locations from the Census Bureau, and state rules from published statutes, agency pages and a 2015 federal survey. No personal data is exchanged with them. RoofRainYield does not sell personal information.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, California's CCPA/CPRA and similar laws elsewhere give you rights over personal information, including to know what is held, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for advertising. For anything RoofRainYield itself holds, which is limited to the hosting logs above, email hello@roofrainyield.com.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
This policy is updated when the site's practices change. Last updated November 6, 2026.
